Data Analyst - J1074

Following the launch of a groundbreaking new proposal this leading media group requires a marketing aware Data Analyst with excellent SQL skills to play a key role in delivering cost effective marketing across their full media portfolio

 

The Data Analyst will principally be responsible for ensuring maximum value can be delivered from the customer data through maintaining the customer database, analytics and KPI reporting.

 

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Manage MS SQL Server customer database.
  • Maintain data quality control measures on all customer data feeds and resolve data anomalies.
  • Produce regular KPI reports including commentary on trends and anomalies in the data.
  • Utilise all data sources at your disposal including web behaviours and email response to further enrich customer understanding and identify look-a-like prospects.
  • Analyse data proactively using variety of statistical techniques for the purpose of providing consumer insights and campaign opportunities.
  • Provide detailed insights into customer and prospect behaviour and feed into CRM strategy.
  • Maintain and develop Apteco marketing view of customer database.
  • Manage relationship with key suppliers and partners.
  • Proactive engagement with stakeholders.
  • Provide campaign extract support for campaign management.
  • Provide support for campaign management in making selections from the database for postal, email and SMS campaigns.
  • Ensure that all CRM campaigns are targeted to the right people at the right time based on their profile and behaviours.
  • Profiling data within the database and build models to be used for acquisition.
  • Maintain a data dictionary for the marketing database.
  • Manage relationships with other internal departments.

 

Key Skills & Experience

  • Experience in working in a data-driven marketing environment, with the analytical skills and the strong attention to detail that this entails.
  • Someone who can translate complex issues and findings into simple language for all to understand.
  • A technically minded data analyst with a marketing database background.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated with a strong commercial focus.
  • Experience of analytical tools Apteco Faststats would be advantageous though not essential.
  • Experience in formulating targeted permission-based online and offline consumer campaigns and measuring their success.
  • Experience in consumer segmentation and profiling techniques and how these can be used to target the most attractive consumers, increase the spend of key segments, reduce the cost of acquisition and increase loyalty.
  • Practical knowledge of the Data Protection Act.
  • A strong understanding of direct marketing techniques
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • An understanding of relational databases.
  • Highly competent in SQL
  • Thrive in a fast paced environment.

 

Location:     Central London

Salary:     c£33K + bonus + excellent benefits
